Dr. Manikamma. N Sultanpur presently working as Assistant Professor of Sociology in HKES, Smt. C. B. Patil Arts and Commerce Degree College, Chincholi. She has completed her M.A in Sociology from Gulbarga University Gulbarga, She has secured Gold Medal in her Post graduation, got awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from UGC National Eligibility Test in 2011. Further she also cleared Karnataka state eligibility Test (K-SET). And she has completed her second M.A in Psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Meanwhile she has been honored with “Youth Best Paper Award” (Young Scientist) (During the Eleventh Conference of Indian Association for Social Science and Health (IASSH) where she has presented paper on “Agricultural women and Maternal Health care in Karnataka: A study of NFHS-3 Data”. She also has been honored with “Second Best Paper Award” in the technical session Inclusive development of the XVIII annual international conference on “India’s score card in Global perspective” where she has Presented paper on “Challenges of women entrepreneurship :A sociological study in Gulbarga city”
Recently she got selected as Executive committee member for 2 years of KSA- Karnataka Sociological Association on general body meeting, which was held on 13th September 2019, at Karnataka University, Dharwad. She has a credit of getting published 16 research articles in national and international journals and she has also presented more than 40 research papers in leading national and international level conferences and seminars. Her areas of interest are community Development, women and child development, household women, domestic violence and Public health.
