Ms. Lekha Sreedharan, is a pioneer in Paediatric Nutrition andHeads the Department of Dietetics at Apollo Children’s and Women’s Hospitals, Chennai, India. She is also the National Honorary Secretary for IAPEN India Association For Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. She has a vast experience spanning 23years in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. Ms Lekha is currently pursuing Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Nutrition at Bharathiar University, India and the area of research is Paediatric Crohn’s Disease.
Her main areas of work encompass evidenced based practise in Paediatric Nutrition and her expertise includes Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Support, Nutrition management of Cardiac disease, Crohn’s disease, Malnutrition, Anorexia Nervosa &Fussy eaters. She is involved in implementing the systems and protocols to ensure the best Clinical practices in Nutrition in her Hospital. She secured first place at state level for clinical research in IAPEN Quality Award 2021.
Ms.Lekha was the Key note Speaker in Infancy Conference 2018 held at Atlanta USA. She has presented papers at various national and international forums (ESPGHAN 2019 Glasgow UK,WGOGAT2018,Thailand,ESPGHAN 2017,Prague,WCPGHAN 2016,Montreal,Canada, WCPGHAN 2012 Taipei, Taiwan)
She has contributed articles in Journals, Nutrition in disease Update Series and Newsletter,Co-authored chapters in Diet for children, delivered lectures and interview on topic related to Nutrition in Television and Newspapers. She has also been involved in the release of Apollo Clinical Nutrition Manual and Dietitian’s Pocket Books on Basics of Clinical Nutrition for Adults and Paediatrics.
