Abdullah GÖKTAŞ is a Distinguished Assoc. Professor Doctor of Materials Science and physicist at Harran University of Natural sciences. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Harran and Shimane in Turkey and Japan, respectively in 2013. He was appointed as the Vice President of the Physics Department in the same year. For nearly two decades, Göktaş’s research interests have focused on the physics and physical characteristics of magnetic, semiconducting, and solar cell thin film resulting in the development of several applications ranging from the spintronic to optoelectronic and photocatalytic. While also working extensively with industrial partners, Göktaş currently does research on multifunctional thin films for solar cells, H2 production, and photocatalysis as well as Uv-photo detectors. He has published ~37 articles in refereed international journals, including one review article, and applied for 2 patents. He is an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Coating Science and Technology. More recently, he has been selected for the (World top lists 2 % Scientists) list of the world’s most influential Scientists in 2022 and 2020-2021by the Sandford University (Ioannidis, John P.A. (2022), “September 2022 data-update for “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators”, Mendeley Data, V4, doi: 10.17632/btchxktzyw.4).
