I was born on 18.04.1978 in Bangalore. I completed my primary education in Bangalore. I completed my graduation MBBS from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore in 2001. I completed DCP from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences in 2006. I completed MD from Jagadguru Sri Shivarthreeshwara Medical College, Mysore in 2013. I Joined PES institute of Medical Sciences and Research in 2013. I also passed DNB in the year 2014.
I worked as a tutor in Institutes like KS Hegde Medical Academy, Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences and Bangalore Medical College Research Institute. I worked as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in PES Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. Currently as on 2023, I am working in PES institute of Medical Sciences and Research as Professor of Pathology.
I completed Research Methodology Certificate Course conducted by MEU, India in 2017 and Basic Course in Biomedical Research conducted by Indian Council of Medical Research in 2019. I completed ISN-ANIO Clinical Nephropathology Certificate Program [CNC] in 2016 and ISN-ANIO Advanced Clinical Nephropathology Certificate Program [CNC] in 2021.
I am a member of several professional bodies such as Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists, Karnataka Chapter – Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists, Academy of Pathology, Cytology Foundation, Indian Academy of Cytology (India), Indian Academy of Cytology (Karnataka), Andhra Pradesh Chapter – Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists, Indian Medical Association and International Academy of Pathologists -Indian Division.
As a post-graduate student, presented posters and papers in state level and national level conferences. As a staff, I delivered lectures at Zonal CMEs and Research Methodology workshops.
I consider myself as a self-motivated researcher, life-long learner, sincere teacher, service-oriented enthusiastic pathologist with more than 10 years of experience. My professional goal is to inculcate the research culture and sincerity in younger generation. I have around 40 publications in various national and international journals. Current number citation is around 105 in ResearchGate. I have successfully guided undergraduate students in extramural projects which includes two ICMR-STS projects and one university project.
In 2018, I won third prize under senior faculty category for presenting oral paper in 3rd Annual State level conference (IAPM AP Chapter), Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. In 2019, I won second prize under senior faculty category for presenting oral paper in 4th Annual State level conference (IAPM AP Chapter), SMC Government Medical College, Vijayawada. I was awarded “Outstanding researcher in Pathology” by Venus International foundations at Chennai in 2021.
Currently I am a member of Editorial board member of Indian Journal of Pathology and Oncology and IP Archives of Cytology and Histopathology Research. I am also reviewer for journals such as Annals of Pathology and laboratory Medicine, Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research and Journal of Laboratory Physicians.
I served IAPM-AP chapter as joint secretary from 2019 to 2023. Currently, I am serving IAPM-AP chapter as a treasurer from 2023.
Significant contribution to science literature either as a primary author or co-author include Demonstration of increased mast cells in lithium induced nephropathy in Human kidney, Demonstration of Birefringence in cryptococci on Ziehl-Neelsen stain, Development of new hematological scoring system for evaluating neonatal sepsis, Demonstration of dysplastic squamous cells in saliva, Recommendation for inclusion of Tumor buds counting in reporting protocol for invasive breast carcinoma, Development of Lemon Solution Rehydration Technique (LSRT), Demonstration of use of Kumkum as a counter stain in histopathology, Demonstration of Agglomerate of blood vessels in Kidneys with Polar artery and Development of KRAS Square grid method for estimating TSR and sTIL.
