Dr. Avilash Mohapatra (PT) completed his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy at Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation and Training (SVNIRTAR) in Olatpur, Cuttack, Odisha. He also earned his Master’s degree there, specializing in Pediatrics. Following his studies, he worked as a Lecturer at Franklin Institute of Medical Science (FIMS) in Bhubaneswar. Currently, he is a Junior Physiotherapist at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
Dr. Mohapatra has actively participated in numerous workshops and faculty development programs, both as a delegate and as a resource person. His key areas of interest include the role of physiotherapy in Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Geriatrics, Surgery, and Neuroscience. He has presented many papers at international and national conferences and has published several research articles in renowned national and international journals. Additionally, he has contributed chapters to various books and journals on physiotherapy and public health.
Dr. Mohapatra is a life member of the Indian Association of Physiotherapy (IAP). In recognition of his contributions to the field, he received the “International Research Star Award” for Research and Excellence in Physiotherapy at the ISSN Awards, IIRAC Congress 2024.
