Prof. (Dr.) Himani Bajaj has made substantial contributions to the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences and has accumulated 15 years of teaching experience, earning her a respected position as a Professor of Pharmaceutics at the Adarsh Vijendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shobhit University in Gangoh, Saharanpur. She boasts an impressive academic background, holding a doctoral degree from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Bhimtal campus of Kumaun University in Nainital, an M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in Srinagar, Garhwal (Uttarakhand), and a B.Pharm (with honors) from Sardar Bhagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences & Research in Dehradun.
Dr. Bajaj’s research primarily focuses on the development of transdermal and innovative drug delivery systems. Her scholarly contributions are extensive, including the publication of over 36 research and review papers in reputable national and international journals, over 35 presentations, 4 patented inventions, 4 internationally published books, 2 national books and 3 book chapters (CRC press). She has received over 229 citations, holding an h-index of 8 and an i10-Index of 8. Her professional achievements encompass 11 Faculty Development Programs (FDP), 1 Continuing Education Program (CEP), 1 Capacity Building Program (CBP), 10 seminars, 9 workshops, and 2 Short Term Training Programs (STTP).
During her tenure at AVIPS, Shobhit University, Dr. Bajaj has served in various capacities, including Coordinator of the PhD program, University Administrator for URKUND-Ouriginal Plagiarism detection Software (PDS), Admin of Drill Bit Extreme PDS, Chairperson of the Alumni cell, Chairperson of the B.Pharm Program Committee, Chairperson of the Women’s Grievance Cell, Member of the IIC, Chairperson of the M.Pharm program committee, Member of the Discipline committee, Cultural committee Member, Member of Excursion cum Educational Tour, ARIAA Coordinator, Training and Placement in charge, Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Committee member, active member of the NAAC Committee, and Admission drive. Her exceptional contributions have been recognized with an Excellence certificate by the Smart Education Welfare Association for her valuable research, an award from the Shoonya Foundation for research, and a Certificate of Honour for Excellent Achievement in the field of education in 2020 by Aaron Education Welfare Society. She is Awarded with SEWA Excellence certificate by Smart Education Welfare Association, India for valuable contribution in Research on 4 September 2022 and also Awarded by Shoonya Foundation on 3 September 2022 for contribution in education and research. Moreover, she got Best Researcher 2023 in Pharmaceutical Sciences during National Conference on Artificial intelligence contemporary trends in pharmaceutical research and development organized by Laureate institute of pharmacy, Kathog in collaboration with HP technical university, Hamirpur with faculty of medicine University Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia on 23-24 Sept 2023. She is bestowed with Shodh Ratna Award in International Conference on Advancement in scientific research from past to present organized by Rajkamal Science and management college, Haridwar, in association with IPGA, Uttarakhand on 29, Oct 2023. She has received certificate of achievement of Top 10 educators for the year 2024 by Kiteskraft Production LLP. Recently, she got International Best Researcher Award for excellance in Research in Aceclofenac loaded film forming gels: In vivo study in ISSN International Research awards and congress IIRAC 2024 held at Trichy on June 23, 2024.
Dr. Bajaj also serves on the editorial boards of international journals and has acted as a reviewer for many reputable journals in the pharmaceutical field. She actively seeks to enhance her knowledge and skills through participation in various government domain courses, such as SWAYAM MOOC. Furthermore, she is a life member of APTI (All India Pharmacy Teachers Association, UP), SPER (Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Noida), and IPGA (Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association, New Delhi).
Dr. Bajaj has conducted numerous training sessions, workshops, and delivered invited lectures at various institutions and conferences. Her overarching goal is to provide quality education and training to pharmacy students while encouraging them to engage in research that serves practical purposes.
