Dr. Rudra Narayan Borkakati

Dr. Rudra Narayan Borkakati, FESI, is a distinguished entomologist and Scientist at the AAU_Zonal Research Station, Shillongani, Nagaon, Assam, India. One of Dr. Borkakati’s most prestigious honors came in 2024 when he was awarded the SRMR Gold Medal by the Society for Rapeseed-Mustard Research. This award recognized his significant contributions to Rapeseed-Mustard research and extension services in Assam. The award ceremony took place during the 5th National Brassica Conference at the Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute (RARI), Durgapura, Jaipur, in collaboration with ICAR-Directorate of Rapeseed-Mustard Research (DRMR), Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
Dr. Borkakati’s work spans various aspects of entomology, including the study of water hyacinth weevils’ bionomics, the evaluation of biopesticides against agricultural pests, and the influence of weather parameters on pest populations.
