Sindhu Chandra Pokhriyal

I am a Physician specializing in Internal Medicine at One Brooklyn Health/Interfaith Medical Center, with a strong background in women’s health and a vision for improving healthcare outcomes. I have completed MD in OBGYN in Lady Hardinge Medical College, MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, London and am a Diplomate of the National Board for OBGYN in India. I am committed to making a positive impact on the lives of patients in underserved communities. With my diverse experience in women’s health and a vision for continuous improvement, I bring a unique perspective to the table. My ability to identify areas for improvement and implement positive change has been instrumental in addressing healthcare challenges in underserved communities. I have actively participated in community health camps to monitor and educate people about managing chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Additionally, my volunteer work with organizations like Pallium, Sai Dham Cancer Research Foundation, Ganga Prahari and Nemo Foundation has allowed me to contribute to eldercare and childhood cancer care programs. I have also been working on colorectal cancer (CRC) screening program, to identify the key areas of improvement in the underserved
community at Brooklyn with the goal of increasing the CRC screening uptake amongst the community.
I have also published widely with more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented abstracts in different national conferences. I have always been involved in different quality improvement projects while working in different hospitals to ensure best patient care to be rendered to my patients. I continue to endeavor to continuously improve myself while having appositive impact on healthcare practices around me.
