Multi-award-winning Doctor of Science and 1st and 2nd Degree Specialist in Psychiatry, Diploma in Psychotherapy and Master in Social Psychiatry, he worked at the National Mental Health Center of Cuba and later at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana as a psychotherapist in Addictions and Disorders Neurotics who introduced Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy in Cuba along with three other Cuban experts, who received training for years from Canadian, North American and Spanish teachers, graduating as teachers of this technique for its multiplication in the country. Also awarded for excellent results in assistance, teaching, research, managerial and editorial work, in the latter, he was director of the Scientific Journal of Medical Services for several years with the achievement of excellent results, which were recognized by the Department of Science and Technique. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate classes at two foreign universities (Angola and Venezuela), graduating doctors and specialists in Comprehensive General Medicine and Psychiatry, and has written three books on addictions that are used in medical science careers and other related professions. , in master’s and doctoral degrees in medical sciences and other related sciences. For more than 25 years, he has developed a line of research on addictions, domestic violence, drugs of abuse in general and, more recently, new psychoactive substances or drugs of current consumption. He belongs to the academic committee and the faculty of the master’s degrees in Community Mental Health, Drug Abuse Prevention and Criminal Psychology. He has published multiple publications in magazines of high scientific impact, both national and foreign, and has more than 26 honors and other recognitions and awards obtained from both Cuba and other countries. The most relevant were: Annual Scientific Award for Sciences, for the Best Doctoral Thesis, for the Best Researcher and for the Best Scientific and Technological Result in Cuba. As a professor and Senior Researcher, he has an intense and outstanding teaching and research work, achieving a significant number of scientific investigations that have garnered awards in science and technology forums as outstanding and relevant over the years; later published in magazines and, something that typifies it, is its constant presence in undergraduate and graduate courses, both received and taught. As a teacher, he has been selected on several occasions as Professor Tiza de Oro, best teacher at an institutional and national level on several occasions and, for teaching, mostly related to drugs, psychotherapy, domestic violence and its influence in all spheres of education. life. Professor of Psychotherapy at his center and in other university centers and for years he made contributions to multi-push psychotherapy, which he wrote and published thanks to the support of a magazine from India, after teaching several courses, being recognized as a teacher-researcher. Likewise, he tutors and advises undergraduate thesis of the Specialties in Health Psychology, Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Comprehensive General Medicine and Health Psychology; theses of master’s and doctoral students, which is why he contributes carefully to the training of new professionals, being a permanent member of Examination Boards for Changes in Higher Teaching Categories, president of examination boards for degrees, specialties, master’s degrees and doctorates, and has been permanently in said courts that judge the respective title, whichever is chosen. His healthcare work is repeatedly recognized, distinguishing himself for his humane and responsible treatment of patients and families.
