I am, a resourceful and result-driven Researcher &Teaching professional offering over seven years in leading research efforts in the Division of Internal Medicine and Clinical Innovation and driving excellence in assisting the development of learning materials/course modules. Doing expertise in clinical and molecular diabetology and other metabolic disorders, providing training; and guidance, actively contributing to administration, and periodic evaluation &; assessment of medical
students. Contributing excellence by driving continuous improvement in the quality of medical education (as per NMC), participating in medical seminars & workshops, training &; mentoring undergraduate &; post-graduate students, contributing to research projects, & examinations, and medical consultation. Analytical Thinker and delivers outstanding guidance & support in various fields of medicine.
I am Dr Satish Kumar, serving my duties in KGMU since 18th March 2021 as “an assistant professor” in the Department of Medicine, where I teach my students MD Medicine, MBBS, BDS, and paramedics. Parallel I also manage and treat various patients in the outpatient department, indoor patient department, and emergency medicine unit in the trauma center, high dependency units, and ICU patients. I treat patients with disorders of endocrinology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, cardiology, infectious disease patients (COVID-19, Mucormycosis, H1N1, dengue, malaria, typhoid, pneumonia, HIV, tuberculosis, etc.) etc. I am also doing administrative work here in the institution. I am a fellow member of ISMN (FISMN), IMA-AMS (FIASM), InSH (FISH), and Chronomedicine (FISCM) and a member of various medical associations including IMA, IMA-AMS, ISC, CSI-UP, API, UP-API, GSI, InSH, ACP, EFI, IPHA, ERS, ICS. I have done dedicated work during all phases of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the meantime, I have a keen interest in research work and publications. I will serve humanity till my last breath.
My research work
I have published a number of articles in national and international journals including original articles, systematic reviews, reviews, case series, case reports, letters to editors, comments, etc. I have published more than 89 articles. My keen interest is in doing research related to cardiology, infectious disease, metabolic syndrome, gastroenterology, nephrology, and neurology.
