Dr. Arun Arumugaperumal is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Thandalam, Chennai. He teaches Molecular Biology and Protein Engineering to UG students and handles Bioinformatics Laboratory course. He obtained his doctoral degree from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University under the guidance of Dr. Sudhakar Sivasubramaniam. Dr. Arun has worked on the whole genome analysis of the earthworm Eudrilus eugeniae. He has also analyzed genomes of symbiotic bacteria of earthworms. He uses R programming language extensively to carry out his research tasks. Currently, his research interests are answering some important questions in Biology through the use of machine learning techniques.
