Dr. Sujoy Bepari is working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Chemistry under the mentor Prof. Debasish Kuila at North Carolina A&T State University (NCAT), USA since January 2019. His research interests are in catalysis and reaction engineering. His postdoc research is on FT synthesis using microchannel microreactor and steam reforming of alcohols. Dr. Bepari did his undergraduate degree at the Haldia Institute of Technology in the Chemical Engineering Department in 2007 and earned his postgraduate degree in 2010 from Jadavpur University. He did his Ph.D. at IIT Kharagpur under the supervision of Prof. NC Pradhan (IIT Kharagpur) and Prof. Ajay K. Dalai (University of Saskatchewan, Canada). Sujoy submitted his thesis in August 2017. He defended his Ph.D. thesis in February 2018. Dr. Bepari Ph.D. studies focused on Steam Reforming of Ethanol and Glycerol over Indigenous Nickel-based Catalysts. He then was at the CV Raman College of Engineering from August 2017 to December 2018 as an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering Department. He also worked at Kesoram Rayon from 2007 to 2008. He has won the best oral presentation award at an international conference (APCAT-7, 2017) and reviewed research papers in some reputed journals (International Journal of Hydrogen Energy; Sustainable Materials and Technologies; Catalysis Today; Fuel). He has received outstanding research certification from NCAT, USA. He has 14 nos. of research paper publications, two book chapters, and one US patent (filled) with his name. He attended some reputed national and international conferences in India and USA. He is a life associate member (LAM-61189) of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE). Recently, Dr. Bepari received ISSN Best International Researcher Award for one of his Ph.D. research works. The topic of the research work is the Kinetics of Ethanol Steam Reforming over Ni/Olivine catalyst.
