Dr. Sujatha S R is a consultant Microbiologist and an alumna of the prestigious JSS Medical College and Hospital, Mysore, where she completed her MBBS degree. She further graduated with an MD in Microbiology from the same institution and is currently working as an Assistant Professor at JSS Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru, Karnataka. She has actively been involved in impactful research activities with a primary focus on Antimicrobial Resistance. She has publications in both national and international journals, exhibiting a dedicated commitment to advancing knowledge within the field. She has also guided postgraduate students, contributing to the next generation of scholars in this critical area of study possessing valuable expertise in her field, she consistently demonstrates a keen enthusiasm for research and is actively engaged in ongoing research initiatives. She received the international best researcher award for her scientific paper entitled ‘Evaluation of Vitek2 and Colistin broth disk elution test in comparison with Microbroth dilution for Susceptibility testing of Colistin among Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacterales,’ which was done as a part of a funded project. This multifaceted approach not only enhances her credibility but also propels her towards fresh opportunities for ongoing learning and personal development.
