I have 10 years’ experience at Krishi Vigayn Kendras in Dibrugrah and Nagaon district of Assam and currently working as Subject matter Specialist at Nagaon, KVK. Throughout my career, I have got the opportunity to serve the rural farming community of two diverse districts through the lens of economics and extension services which is a privilege for me to work with them. I had conducted village and family surveys using PRA, RRA and other tools in order to bridge gap between optimum allocation and existing allocation of resources and acted as associated scientist in need-based extension activities along with necessary technologies were demonstrated in order to uplift the livelihood of rural farming communities. I have acted as Lead Scientist of MGMG and member of NICRA Project at KVK, Dibrugrah. I had conducted trainings and organized different extension activities during my service period and documented extension literature in local language for creating awareness with extensive dissemination of scientific and improved technologies to farming community. Moreover, I had involved as nodal officer, group leader, supervising scientist, and member of different committees viz., Soil Health Card Scheme, CFLD, DFI, MGMG, APART, TSP, Millet Mission etc. Under my supervision KVK, Nagaon abled to form 2 FPOs viz., Kapili Cooperative FPO Ltd. and Swarnil Cooperative FPO Ltd. as CBBO under NCDC, where 200 and 400 numbers of farmers are mobilized till now and members of both the FPOs became active beneficiaries of different Government schemes with good earnings. Moreover, I acted as active member of another NABARD-sponsored FPO. I have conducted more than 5 numbers of phone in live TV programme by Door Darshan Kendra, Guwahati for the farming community as consultation service and accomplished more than 15 numbers of radio interview through All India Radio for the benefit of farming community. I had conducted impact studies of KVK activities and published several books, 24 numbers of research papers with NAAS Score more than 4 and 5 and out of those 1 published in IJTK of ICAR having NAAS=7.19, which made an excellent platform to disseminate my research findings for policy implication. However, more than 65 different authors cited our work in their research publications and reviewed more than 15 manuscripts in journal having NAAS more than 4. I have compiled more than 200 numbers of technical reports related to different activities during the period of service which was the major support for scientific work of KVK system. I Have also bagged the best poster presentation award during 10th Horticultural Science Congress, 2023 held at C. V. Sc, Khanapara, Guwahati, and Best KVK Professional Award in the field of Extension Education during 1st International Extension Education Congress at RARI, Durgapura, Jaipur, Rajasthan during 18-20th December 2023 by Society of Extension Education
