Prof (Dr) Dakshita Joy Sinha is the Head of Department, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Inderprastha Dental College and Hospital, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. She is also the proprietor and chief dental surgeon at Dr. Dakshita’s Dental Care, Delhi where she practices in the evenings.
She was a topper in school since the beginning. She did her Bachelors of Dental Surgery from Christian Dental College and Hospital, Ludhiana, Punjab and Masters in Dental Surgery from Sri Ramachandra Dental College and Hospital, Porur, Chennai. She joined as a senior lecturer in Kothiwal Dental College and Research Centre, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh and worked there for over 11 years. During her tenure, she worked really hard and achieved many awards and published many research papers in the field of dentistry.
She is on the reviewer and editorial boards of many journals. She has chaired many scientific sessions. After 4 years of working she was promoted as a Reader and then after 9 years in total as a Professor in department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. Then she shifted to Delhi and opened a dental clinic, also joined Inderprastha Dental College and Hospital, Sahibabad as Professor and Head.
Till date she has 75 publications in various indexed national and international journals. She has two copyrights which were granted in December 2023 and January 2024. She has authored 11 books till date and has edited one book. She has been awarded as Women’s Achiever’s Award in the field of Dentistry by Amar Ujala in 2018. In 2021, she was awarded in India’s Top 100 Researchers by FoxClues. She was awarded the Research Excellence Award 2022 by InSc. She received the Academician of the year below 45 years award 2022 by CynoDent International. She was awarded Best Dentist Award in August 2022 by International Award of Excellence and Asia Awards. She was awarded the Education Leadership Award by Glantor X in 2022. She bagged the first position in the Online Most Popular Award at the Endo Case Competition conducted by the Indian Endodontic Society in 2023. She remains happy by helping her patients getting cured of their dental pain and helping her students in becoming good dentists.
